February 1, 2019

Hi there! Here's an update on the latest product improvements that are ready for you to try right now.

       Dashboards

Keep track of all of your important metrics from your fancy new Beacon dashboard.

Improved CSV imports for BT MyDonate and Facebook

We've made it much easier for you to import your MyDonate data into Beacon. We've made a number of improvements to our MyDonate import template including automatically importing contact preferences.  All CSV imports can now handle multiple currencies, too (you'll need this to import from Facebook). You can find out more in this article from our knowledge base:

       Data tables in reports

It's now easier to see the data that makes up a report.  Each report also generates a data table so you can copy and paste the data into a spreadsheet of your choice.

Log activities in the past (and future!)

You can now log activities to your timeline with an associated date.

Send email notifications to anyone when a form is submitted

You can now supply a list of emails to send notifications to from a donation form.  These don't need to be the email addresses of Beacon users, so you can keep everyone in the loop.

Slicker selection and group selection on list view

We've updated the interface for selecting multiple records from a list.  You can now shift+click to select and unselect multiple records.

Generate documents from your Beacon data (Beta)

It's mail merge - Beacon style. This feature is so hot-off-the-press that we don't even have documentation for it yet! Head over to the "Documents" section where you can upload a document and configure defaults for the fields you want to map into it.  Then select some records and select "Document merge".  You'll get a zipped up folder of merged documents.

See you next month, Beacon fans!
